About

I have written stories all my life.

My love for literature and creative writing led me to earn a B.A. in English literature and creative writing from Wheaton College, IL, in 2009.

Since then, I have worked for various organizations as an editor, communicator, and grant writer. My literary writings have also been published online and in print.

I write narrative nonfiction essays, memoir, and short stories, and I delight to find the bizarre and true in ordinary experiences. I am a lifelong learner, and I often discover stories through researching one of the varied topics that interest me – from childbirth, to marine biology, to history, to abnormal psychology, to ancient spirituality, to outer space – to name just a few recent topics I’ve explored in my writing.

I currently live in Denver, Colorado with my husband Jeremy Grant and my two children.

In my other professional life, I am a certified birth doula, or in other words, I am a non-medical supporter of women during childbirth.

I frequently speak to groups of women on a variety of topics.

I am also a follower of Jesus.

I’d love to hear from you.
